Every Little Golden Opportunity to be a Mover and Shaker

The most powerful motivators, thinkers and writers that revolutionized my outlook on life are Dale Carnegie, Edward Abbey, Leslie Marmon Silko, and Robert Greene. Now the newest influence is Tim Ferriss, famous entrepreneurial author of the Four Hour Work Week. Nearly three months ago I made a big life change from being a national parks tour guide to an entrepreneur. I’m still an outdoor granola, but I’ve decided to shift my outlook to live life on my terms.  Now I’m engaged in marketing and being a car salesman for Honda and the plan is using that money to invest. In Southern Utah, I’ve picked a job that involves more risk, more money, more freedom, and an opportunity to allow me to invest in other small business adventures on the side.

Last June, I looked at different Marketing strategies. That’s right, Internet Marketing, Referral Marketing, being an affiliate and the list goes on. All this information has been a gold mine. I want to experiment and be a highly productive human with the ability to get things done swiftly and quick. Life is too short to sit in an office burning daylight. I thank Tim Ferris for this inspiration. This is the golden chance sky rocket my personal output and productivity to shoot for the stars. I’m already at  the top.

The biggest secret that set me on this beautiful path was a simple change of attitude. It was the ignition switch that I needed to fire up my dreams for life and being happy. I started to realize the beauty of this internal change first-hand when I noticed that more and more people wanted to befriend me and pick my brain. I got a dream job that I’ve always wanted and I’m planning to invest this knowledge across the board. So this is a work-in-progress.

I could write about this drastic change forever but I’ve got a slew of resources, secrets, tips, knowledge, photographic tips, you name it… I want to impart all this information, because I have lived the reality of a Four Hour Work Week. For seven years I’ve been a tour guide traveling all over the Southwest. I lived in the Grand Canyon and met people from all over the world. During this whole experience, I have mastered learned photography and Interpretation. Every day people have give me great feedback on my images.

So sit back, relax, and think about making a drastic change. Trust me, It’s well worth it wherever you be in life! I’d say 99% of all success hinges on this simple attitude change and I plan on becoming the one percenter. Yeah, I know that’s not a word. I want to leave you with a few words by Tim Ferris that really motivate me…

“If you don’t pursue the things that excite you, where will you be in one year, five years, and ten years? How will you feel having allowed circumstance to impose itself upon you and having allowed ten more years of your finite life to pass doing what you know will not fulfill you?”

Now is the time to become what you’ve always wanted to be. The time is asap. Don’t wait and put off whatever can be done to get you on your way, moving across the great divide that land locks everyone else. This change starts in the mind and grows in the imagination. It starts with action. You’re biggest risk is doing nothing. Think about it? The choices you make now ripple into your future. Inaction is your worst enemy.

Are You Stronger Than Your Excuses?

I’m up bright and early and enthusiastic. This is me, the desert rat. I’m experimenting with life and living it to the fullest. Some things just come natural to me with little or no effort. Currently I’m suffering from a overload of inspiration and my biggest challenge is learning how to funnel the endless ideas, thoughts, and dreams that are pouring through my imagination. I want organize them coherently but with the least amount of effort.

So I guess I’ll start experimenting instead letting them fester. With ease, I’ve already started writing all these ideas down in a mole-skin notebook which I’m taking everywhere I go order to capture all these insights. You see, this is the power of universe working over-time for you but it’s all up to you to make it happen. Success doesn’t come knocking on the door. It’s expected of you to take action and hit the pavement. So this is my call to action – take some kind of massive leap of faith and start doing instead of being complacent. Ask yourself; are you stronger than your excuses?

Drastic Life Changes – Work in Progress

We live in a free market capitalist society and I went to college with all the Marxists, Socialists and Commies! Four years ago, I should have went into Business & Marketing instead of Sociology. It goes to explain why I was once very liberal in my politics and it wasn’t until the last few years that I’ve began to see the light and head over to the right!

My politics have shifted, totally. About eleven months ago I became a full-fledged supporter of Ron Paul, and his son Rand Paul, who are both Tea-Party congressmen. I’ve discovered myself to be a deep Libertarian. I believe in personal liberty and think that sovereign power should reside within the heart of every human being, and not in the power-hungry US Federal Government. We as American Citizens put too much blind faith in government and in the process of doing that, we as citizens have started to forfeit our personal liberties, sovereignty and responsibility to the government. People are beginning to think that it’s the government’s duty to pamper us, and take care of us. What the heck?

I’m not wanting to wax to political on here, because that’s not why I created this blog. I’ve created this blog because of my new-found hero, Tim Ferris, who operates the Four Four Blog and is a New York Best Seller, and writer. He’s becoming my muse this very moment when I’ve been needing something like this for a very long time. I feel like I’ve crawled out of a cacoon in recent weeks. This guy has become an example of human freedom, and what a person can achieve when they believe in themselves and have a required confidence to act and MOVE.

So, that’s what this blog is about. Let me tell you what I am about – I love people and wish to share my life experiences. For six years now, I’ve been a professional tour guide, taking people in the wilderness, into the Grand Canyon and all over the Southwest. I’ve spent my waking hours learning the art of photography and I’m constantly driven by the beauty of the Earth.

So this blog is apart of my newfound freedom. It’s what Tim Ferris calls Experiments in Lifestyle Design. It’s what I call discovering my own innate sovereignty and what it means to be human.
